Meet
Cody Temple

Hey, I'm Cody — founder of Desert Pickleball Academy. I grew up here in Phoenix and found pickleball a few years ago. Honestly, I fell in love with it right away. Within my first year of playing I realized I didn't just love competing — I had a real passion for coaching and helping others improve.

I've been playing for over 3 years and coaching for about 2, working with players of all ages and skill levels. I compete at the 5.0+ level and am currently playing in PPA Pro Qualifier events working toward the pro circuit. I'm also a signed player with the Phoenix Swarm in the UPL semi-pro league, and I've traveled across the country competing in PPA events in Utah, Nevada, California, Florida, Ohio, and Texas.

Along the way I've worked as a Head Pro at an indoor facility, running lessons and building structured programs — and I'm PPR certified. But more than anything, I focus on helping players actually improve in a way that's simple, clear, and fun.

I started Desert Pickleball Academy to create something I wish I had when I was learning — structured training, small groups, and a positive environment where kids and adults can build confidence, compete, and genuinely enjoy getting better.
